What was the first year of your marriage like? Was it the vision of love you’ve always dreamed about, a series of nightmares from which you thought you’d never wake, or something in between the two?  No matter what your answer, experts consistently agree that the first year of marriage is the hardest.

Now, imagine doing that first year of Marriage in 2020. The stress of being quarantined at home, significant job changes, added financial stress, anxiety about the virus, and the tumultuous election have been unimaginable. To be frank, COVID is having a harmful effect on marriages everywhere, and the need for marriage support is on the rise.

Your CenterPeace has always existed to help couples create healthy marriages and whole families. Our Mentoring Program has proven that 31% of families are happier than those that don’t do some sort of mentoring. Every strong relationship requires learning the skills of good communication and conflict resolution. A proactive approach can be the difference between a mole hill becoming a mountain or not existing at all.

A world-wide pandemic is not something you prepare for, but our amazing Mentor Couples have been just a phone or Zoom call away. They have been equipping new couples with tools to succeed and a place to turn in times of trouble. Sadly, with the divorce rate so high, we see more couples without healthy examples of good marriages in their families, only emphasizing the need for our Mentor Couples.

In addition to growing Mentor support for new couples, this year, we launched MarriageSupport.Today - an online website full of resources to help couples before and after their wedding day respond to the struggles of marriage. MarriageSupport.Today has been a huge investment for Your CenterPeace, and we’ve heard that the investment is well worth it.

We are asking your support to help us continue to:

  1. Cover the training costs to provide mentor relationships to new couples.

  2. Invest and grow MarriageSupport.Today as the need for these resources has never been greater.

Don’t let 2020 be a year that couples remember as the end of their marriage. Instead, help us lift these couples up and strengthen their love and marriage. This is possible, but we cannot do it alone.  Would you consider a gift to help Your CenterPeace in our work for healthy marriages and whole families? Donate Here.
